There are a number of help services available for you if you or someone you know is suffering from depression. If you feel that you need help urgently you should contact 111.

You can call the depression helpline on 0800 111 757 or contact Lifeline on 0800 543 354.

You could also speak to your doctor or turn to the green pages at the front of your phone book for mental health providers.

Community-Maori-health-providers There are services available to help Māori people with their healthcare. Some services are provided by government organisations, and some by community organisations such as marae.
