Module 10 – Know Your Rights
All employees must have a signed, written employment agreement with their employer. Even if you have already accepted a verbal offer for a job, you must sign a written agreement before you start work.
You should read this before you sign, or give it to someone you trust to read it for you if you are not confident reading it yourself.
If there is something you are not sure about, you can take it away to think it over or ask someone for advice. If you want to make changes to the agreement, talk with your employer before you sign it.
Joining a union:
You have the right to join a union. Your employer is not allowed to influence your decision.
