Module 9 – Communication for Change
Written communication
Written communication involves any type of message that uses the written word. This can be writing, typing, letters, numbers, symbols or drawing used to deliver information.

When you’re looking for a job, you need to read and write a lot. For example, vacancies are usually written (in newspapers or on the internet for instance), and to apply for a job you usually have to write a letter to match the job. You have a better chance if you understand what people expect of you (for the ad description) and respond by writing to match it.

Written communication relies on grammar, spelling, punctuation and choice of words to deliver the correct meaning.

Examples of written communication are:
                                  • Books
                                  • Pamphlets
                                  • Letters
                                  • Emails
                                  • Notes
                                  • Applications
